Amanda Piper
Senior Leader
Amanda has been working for the Summer Recreation Program for the past 10 years. This is her fifth year as a Senior Leader. Outside of camp, she is a middle school math teacher! When she is not teaching, she enjoys watching movies, reading, shopping, and going on bike rides! Her favorite summer camp activities are castles, calling all cars, and water week games!
Rachel Woelkers
Assistant Leader
This is Rachel’s seventh year working with the Summer Recreation Program, and her third year as an Assistant Leader. She currently attends Michigan State University majoring in Elementary Education. Rachel loves to do arts and crafts, but cannot wait to play lightning as well. She looks forward to another fun summer! ​
Amanda Schneider
Playground Aide
Amanda Schneider is a 2014 graduate of Alma College with her degree in Secondary Education with a double major in history and social studies. After graduating she pursued her dream of becoming a college softball coach. She is currently the Assistant Softball Coach at Albion College.She was an all-region and three-time all-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association outfielder during her playing days at Alma College, Amanda Schneider joined the Albion College softball coaching staff in time for the 2016 season.
Megan Piper
Playground Aide
Megan is currently a junior at Central Michigan University, majoring in clinical exercise science. She is a teaching assistant for anatomy at the university. This summer marks her third year of being a camp aide. In her free time she enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, going on walks, and shopping! She is looking forward to another fun filled summer at Summer Rec
Hannah Metcalfe
Playground Aide
This is Hannah Metcalfe, she is 16 years old, and is a honors student at the Utica Academy for International Studies. She is involved in French National Honors Society, and she also coaches Science Olympiad for junior high students. She is a dancer for Sterling Stars and enjoy playing volleyball, soccer, and baseball. She is passionate about staying active and getting outdoors, which is often with her younger brother. She has an outgoing personality and is constantly looking to better herself and experience new things.
